The Event Manager should plan for handover, identify all tasks and actions necessary for a smooth transition of the
Event Management process to the Client or other Service Provider. This should include the items to be handed over,
deadlines for each handover activity, and the resource responsible for handover activity.
There could be few open events. Such outstanding requests should be handed over to the concerned team with all
supporting information. Client should be informed about this outstanding service requests and its plan for
closure.
During the Transition Handover-Out phase, one of the important tasks to be completed is to archive all relevant
documents and records. The Event Manager should ensure that all documents and records are archived and stored in a
repository for future purpose. The Event Manager should create an Event Management Handover Report summarizing all the
activities of the Event Management handover.
Engagement Manager should obtain client sign-off on the Event handover activities which confirms the formal closure of
Event Management process.
